I am dedicating this research primarily to my wife and my two daughters, and secondary to whoever is interested in researching the major differences between the Sunnis and Twelver Shia'a, hoping to know the Truth and preach the correct Islam. Of course I am a human being, and therefore, I am fallible. So you may find many mistakes, but the fundamentals are what really count. Please feel free to report to me any mistakes you find. I became fully aware of the differences between the Sunnis and Twelver Shia'a when I got married. Despite our differences, we (my wife and I) are both Muslims. The following sayings of the Holy Prophet  (SAW) of Islam are taken from Ayatollah Imani’s book A Bundle of Flowers, in which he has taken the great care of carefully selecting various traditions, from various sources, of the Prophet of Islam, and his Ahlul Bait. Iran hosts international conference on Ghadir-e Khumm Sun Oct 14, 2012 3:15PM GMT 2 Iran has held an International Conference on Ghadir-e Khumm, discussing different aspects of the Prophet Muhammad's (PBUH) message to all Muslims at this significant event. Ghadir-e Khumm conference was programmed to focus on the theme of "Global Expansion of Ghadir Event, and the Ongoing Role of Imamate in Islamic Awakening." Many scholars and Shia thinkers from 35 countries such as Pakistan, the Netherlands, Nigeria, Turkey, South Africa, Sudan, Azerbaijan, and Spain flocked to the conference held in Imam Sadeq (PBUH) University, Tehran. Ghadir-e Khumm is referred to the last sermon of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in 632 AD at the Pond of Khumm in Saudi Arabia. According to the sermon, which was attended by tens of thousands of Muslims performing Hajj, the Prophet of Islam appointed Imam Ali (PBUH) as his successor and the leader of the Muslim community.
