Chehlum committee is established on 1986 A.D by Al Haaj Sayyed Mukhtar Hussain Azmi Sahab. The purpose of this committee is to oraganized Majis and procession in the remembrance of martyr Hazrat Imam Hussain (A.S).

Aims & Objectives of Imam Husain's (A.S)
What was the course of Imam Husain's (a.s) revolution? What reasons prompted him to initiate such a great and unmatched upspring? Did he intended to overthrow the Yazid regime? Did he wish to end the Umayyad dynasty? These and such other questions keep cropping in the mind and everyone wants to know the satisfactory replies, specially the mourner of Imam Husain (a.s) are more eager in this regard.

The Programmes organized by Chehlum Committee
  1. Ashraa-e-Majalis and procession of Hazrat Imaam Hussain (A.S), every year in the month of "Safar".
  2. Ladies Majlis on every Thursday.
  3. Every thursday of nauchandi, we organized procession which end at Dargah-e-Abul Fazlil Abbas (a.s)
  4. Eid -e- Zahra (S.A)
  5. Jashn -e- Abu Talib (A.S)
  6. Juloos Fatah-e-Furaat

The Night Preceding 'Eid-ul-Fitr' It had been the practice of the Prophet Muhammad, Sall-Allahu alayhi wa sallam, that he would pray during the night preceding the day of Eid-ul-fitr. A woman was at work when she received a phone call that her daughter was very sick with a fever. She left her work and stopped by the pharmacy to get some medication for her daughter. Upon returning to her car she found that she had locked her keys in the car. She was in a hurry to get home to her sick daughter. She didn't know what to do, so she called her home and told the baby sitter what had happened and that she did not know what to do. The baby sitter told her that her daughter was getting worse. She said, "You might find a coat hanger and use that to open the door."
